Local Area & Events
El Forno 1st Birthday
The objective:
Build Awareness to the Authentic Italian Cuisine available at El Forno Pizzeria in Long Jetty.
Build an Audience that we can continue to target.
How we achieved it:
We created Central Coast’s Biggest Pizza Party, a family-fun filled day. At the time NSW was also experiencing the worst bushfire event it had ever seen; we used this platform to raise much-needed funds for Berkley Vale Fire Brigade as. At the same time, we created a competition for everyone on the day to stand the chance to win Free Pizza for an entire year!
We created a fun and inviting environment for the whole family. This included a jumping castle, face painting, live music and the Star 1045 road crew. We also secured volunteer members from the local fire department which brought a fire truck down for the kids – this was a huge hit!
We brought the feeling of little Italy to the Central Coast by decking out the whole carpark in red carpets, barrels, and other eye-catching Italian decor. We activated the area with a gelato machine too, cooling patrons down on this hot summers’ day. But what is a pizza party without PIZZA? We simplified the menu to ensure the operations on the day flowed seamlessly. We reduced all pizzas to only $10 with $2 from every pizza sold going to the Rural Fire Service. They also collected donations from those attending on the day.
We extended the event’s reach by promoting on radio, with live crosses on the day. We also supported the campaign with a strong build up of organic and paid social media advertising.
The outcome? The biggest day of trade that El Forno Pizzeria had ever seen, and that was prior to their usual evening trade. Due to the competition, we also generated an email database full of local and relevant customers who had already loved and experienced El Forno Pizzeria.
The Coast Bar & Restaurant Gosford Waterfront
The objective:
Increase local presence and give back at a local time of crisis.
How we achieved it:
The owner of the Coast Bar & Restaurant set us a brief to create a strategy that would help give back in a time of local crisis. At the time, NSW bushfires were taking hold of the state destroying habitats and causing havoc for local emergency services.
Creating a ticketed event with all proceeds going to the Rural Fire Service, we not only gave back to a great cause at a crucial time but created awareness and a sense of community for The Coast Bar & Restaurant. Here we invited local singer, John Elms as well as Gosford’s Rural Fire Service to collect donations on the day. To raise additional funds, we asked local businesses for items to raffle off, which included an array of wines and vouchers for local products and services.
We promoted this event organically and with paid reach on Facebook & Instagram.
